Lauren Lasanta, lcsw founder/ceo
Lauren LaSanta, LCSW founded Family and Youth Services because of her passion to help youth and families. Lauren is a truly dedicated social worker and therapist and has 23 years of experience working in the field of social services. She has helped countless individuals including youth, families and those suffering from mental illnesses. Prior to opening Family and Youth Services, she was and Area Director for a large Not for Profit Organization where she oversaw various housing, case management and legal programs for individuals and youth with medical and mental illnesses. Under her leadership, services thrived and were continuously expanded to reach more individuals. Lauren opened Family and Youth Services in August of 2016 which is when she started her private practice work. Family and Youth Services now has 12 staff members including Therapists and Nurse Practitioners and is a valuable resource in the community.
Lauren received her Bachelor's in Psychology with a minor in Anthropology at Stony Brook University. She went on to obtain her Master's in Social Work at Rutgers University in 2007 and completed a two year Post Graduate course in Family Therapy at the Multicultural Family Institute under the mentorship of Monica McGoldrick and Nydia Preto. She sees learning as a lifetime strategy for making the world a better place. Lauren lives in New Jersey with her husband and two daughters.
